Jake and I had great fun on a very snowy Big Walk. I'd taken my alloy crampons along to play with on the Fen where I knew there would be lots of snow. I ended up walking from one of the logs in the middle down to the Mill at Lode. Much better traction!
Just out of interest: the end of the lake is part of what's left of the copralite workings - it looks to be just some random man made ditch or lake. There are others dotted about the nearby fields.
