Yup, old age has finally caught up with me: I've just picked up my first
pair of reading glasses.
They are good though: I'm no longer having to find a bright light to read
small print.
And the good news is that the same eye test also confirmed that my consultant's
comments to the DVLA that I have a
right homonymous hemianopia (loss of vision in the right side of my vision
field) is incorrect and and my vision field is perfectly normal. Hurrah!
Still doesn't mean they're going to give me my licence back mind you, but it
does mean it will be more difficult for them to refuse to do so come next
February.
