It's a Sign!

Church Lane has the last cast street sign in our village, and this week
it finally fell off its board in the rain so I took it home and
re-painted it (it had got to the point where it was largely grey on grey)
and today I re-hung it on a new board.
A good piece of work I think. If I had left it to the district council
to do they would have replaced it with a modern sign, which would have been
a shame.
P.S. After I wrote the above the above I discovered that this isn't the last cast sign: there's another one in the high street at the start of
Cambridge Road. D'oh.
