We first did this walk in December 2007 and you can find the route here on Google Maps.
The car park where we started from is free and we headed north and over the M25 out of the forest so we could walk past Copped Hall, an interesting place to see.
The forest is all open access with lots of paths so we'll be visiting again although probably not going north of the M25 again.
