A quick walk from our house to Clayhithe and back. The route out goes over the lock to Bottisham, through the village and then picks up a footpath at the far side of the big layby just north of Bottisham which takes you all the way to Clayhithe. Then it's back his the river tow path.
It's got two down sides. The walk through Bottisham is a bit tedious but we have now found a way to avoid more than a few yards on on road walking north of the village: you go through the hedge on another footpath and then use a bridge to get around to the layby. It can also be a bit claggy across the first couple of fields north of Bottisham in the winter.
Here is the route on Google Maps.
