This is a walk we did in the countryside around Hatfield Forest and within it. Paul has very keen and wrote this up on Google Maps, with pictures.
Hatfield is always worth a visit. It's a true ancient forest with a great deal of history and many very old trees in it. Despite a lot of people visiting it you don't have to go far to get away from them and then you see all sorts of wildlife, including deer.
The café also does a reasonable range of snacks.
