Before I forget a few words in praise of MPB Photographic. I bought my D5100 body and my 18-200mm zoom from them last year in two separate transactions. Each time they used DPD UK for delivery who impressed me by delivering promptly in the one hour window specified and each item was exactly as described by MPB.  read more ...

Having sung the praises of the NEX-6 we now move on to the down sides and the biggest so far has been the failed promise of WiFi and the App Store, neither of which have delivered.  read more ...

Today I finally got around to revealing the Milton Photo Archive to the world, something I spent a lot of time working on the last time Beth was away researching walks for WalkLakes.  read more ...

So the Samsung EX1 is gone, sold on eBay today after only owning if for about eight months. But now I've got the D5100 SLR, plus the HTC Desire HD phone which I mainly bought for its camera. And I've still got my trusty Panasonic TZ7 which is a great little point and shoot so something had to go.  read more ...

The sun popped its head out briefly yesterday so I went outside and took some photos with the new lens including this one.  read more ...

A couple of weeks ago I bought a Nikon D5100 body from MPB Photographic. I said at the time that although I'd got Beth's "kit" lens from the D60 on it, an 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 zoom I would probably buy something else for it for my birthday. The Nikon 18-200mm was the front runner.  read more ...
