In my last post I was talking about Violet Tweedale and said I could find no reference to her and Clarens staying at Milton Hall. But now that I've downloaded Ghosts I Have Seen from Project Gutenberg I have it.  read more ...

My last post was this photo of a little gravestone in the grounds on Milton Hall, just across the road from our house. I've been aware of its existence for many years but today I took a photo and stuck it up here.  read more ...

Spring at Milton Hall #3

Nothing to do with spring at all but I've been meaning to take a photo of this gravestone in the grounds on Milton Hall for ages and it worked well in black and white. It would have worked better with some side illumination to bring out the writing mind you. Another day.

150mm @ 4m

I took this photo back in January with my little Samsung EX1 (more photos here) and I was scratching around looking for photos to enter in the photographic competition in today's Milton Produce Show in the category of "Yellow". I was surprised, given some rather fine competition, to win first prize!
