On second thoughts I've dumped the first paragraph of today's posting as a because, as we know, a blog is not a diary but here's some more to chew on.
In the pub last night I was pointed to an excellent recent series of Jesus and Mo strips on transubstantiation1. Start here.
Which leads me (and you'll just have to bear with me on this one but I do feel I've got a sort of theme running today) to this recording of a Mitchell & Webb sketch on identity theft which is very funny (it's straight audio, despite being on YouTube).
- Catholics (and some other Christians) believe that when the priest blesses the bread and wine they become literally (for some values of "literally") the body and blood of Christ. If you really feel the need to know more look in Wikipedia but a joke that needs explaining etc etc.
