This is a largely a subset of the Bottisham Lock Loop walking the same area of farm land between Horningsea and Lode. The main difference is that it starts and ends at a large lay by just north of Horningsea and once you get to Anglesey Abbey you head back via the leat which serves the Lode water mill at Anglesey Abbey.
We've walked it several times and the only catch to this route is that the path by the leat gets very boggy in the winter.
Here's the route on Google Maps.
