A while ago I decided it was time I went on a navigation course. Now, I could navigate sort of. It was just a case of looking at a map deciding where you are, and where you want to be next and walk there. Easy peasy. Right!...

Well possibly. But when out on the hills I went with other people and they always did the navigation, or knew where they were going so I didn't need to. I just followed them.

I want to go out on my own sometimes. So I'm going to have to know where I am and how to get where I want to be. Maybe in poor weather with low visibility. "Hmmm" I thought. Maybe I should learn how to navigate. Those people at Glenmore Lodge run courses and I'd be in Scotland. Excellent!

So how did I get on?...
