« | Stroke DiaryWeek Three - Slow Improvements |
» |
By now some things were improving: the fake cramps had stopped as had the pain getting out of bed and the audio effects were fading. Dizziness remained a problem and I could only walk a very short way. Even a trip around a supermarket was too much in one hit (we had a very jolly time in week two going around Tesco in a wheelchair, people do react strangely to you when you're in a chair).
The numbness remained annoying but didn't seem to have changed much.
Tiredness was the strange one: I could be great and then suddenly, almost like a switch, go very tired and unhelpful and need to lie down. Sometimes I didn't even need to sleep, just to veg out for a little while.
Other worries were vague feeling of nausea when being driven anywhere and finding it hard to read (I'm a voracious reader normally).
