I'm home early from my second day at OZC because they unintentially illustrated one of my problem areas: they were having a party to celebrate the birthday of the centre and to bid farewell to a member of staff and this meant lots of people in a room all chattering away. Unsurprisingly this was not good news and after about thirty minutes I had to bail out and Beth came out and picked me up (which at least meant I got to see Tilly sooner who is home from the vets').
Before that I'd had another session testing my communication skills and then one testing my cognition skills, which included all sorts of interesting exercises and had the added spice of being conducted by a German student who's over here as part of her degree course. As it happened I was wearing one of my German T shirts which gave us something to gossip about (for those who know me it was the one with the orange fish and Ich bin nämlich eigentlich ganz anders, aber ich komme so selten dazu - as I've found before with good German speakers she found it hard to translate the second part in English).
I also had time at the party, before the bad shit started to kick in, to chat to a chap who had been on the full course at OZC. He was very positive about it and he seemed to be doing very well.
