Today, after having thumping headaches on Sunday and Monday I had another headache, although not with the same character as the "migraine" ones and that inspired me to go to see my GP. I'd chased Addenbrooke's on Monday about the letter they're meant to be sending me and my GP, which neither of us have had so this morning I phoned them again and asked them to fax it to my GP as I was going to see him today.
The letter was there was I arrived and the GP has prescribed me Maxalt Melt which is Rizatriptan in a rapidly digestable form. It's a wafer that dissolves under the tongue.
Now I've just got to wait for another migraine to try it out ...
