Sony E PZ 16-50mm
f/3.5-5.6 OSS pancake zoom

This is the kit lens that comes with the Sony NEX-6 and it's often sneered at in photography circles as it's not perfect however it is, as it says on the tin, a "pancake" lens so it's compact when "parked" which makes it a good combination to carry about and it takes pretty decent photos. I'm sure the camera is doing a lot of correction in on-camera post to clean up the inevitable distortion but it makes a pretty good job of it.

Street photography portrait

It's also a versatile range giving an effective focal length of 24mm to 75mm so pretty wide angle through to light zoom suitable for portrait. It also focuses fast. This combination means that it tends to be my first choice for street photography and it's also the lens I tend to leave on the camera as it generally will do a reasonable job at anything if I'm in a hurry.
