More Simple Partials?

»

Today I had three episodes which I would call "simple partial" seizures, although my GP wisely wasn't that specific. You will remember that my last full blown seizure was preceeded by just one if these so I'm more than a little concerned, especially as (unusually for me) I'd forgotten to take my morning Epilim tablet the day before. The first episode was at about 7:30am. Beth went to work but I had a second at about 10:45 so she came home again. I then had another at about 11:30 which she observed.

At this point we decided to phone my GP and he asked us to come in to see him. He did all the usual things: blood pressure, listened to heart and lungs, did some simple neurological tests. All fine. We discussed options which ranged from doing nothing, through an extra 200mg of Epilim a day for a few days (I'm on 1000mg now), through to a hit of Diazapam. Opted for the middle road.

He's also advised me to take it easy for the next few days and avoid stress (something which I've had some of over the last couple).
