It's Jessie's turn to pose. She's far more willing to sit still. But just look at the EXIF data for this photo: yup that's taken at a fifth of a second. This α7II makes taking shots that slow far too easy (although to be fair this is the sharpest of nine and some were badly blurred).

Up here gorse takes the place of hawthorn as the first flowers to appear in the hedgerow in Spring. It's just starting to come out and is apparently very early this year.

As it was a nice day (and mild, 10°C, in January!) we took a wander up Cnoc Fhaoighris on the north side of the Cromarty Firth to visit the Fyrish Monument. read more ...
