Up here gorse takes the place of hawthorn as the first flowers to appear in the hedgerow in Spring. It's just starting to come out and is apparently very early this year.

Migraine today so in the absence of work I wandered down onto the salt marshes with Jack and found this log.

Last night we had the first proper snow since we've moved here. Luckily I'd topped up the bird feeder the night before.

It was a dark and stormy night day so we drove down to the car park by the river mouth and hid out of the wind behind Florence.
