Writer's Block

The good news is that today I actually wrote some decent code, the bad new is that now I'm wondering what to blog about.

So let's start with the good news. I wasn't well in November and December so didn't write a lot of code. January came and, generally speaking, touch wood etc, I've been better ... but I've found it hard to get down to writing any code. I've distracted myself by reading a lot: books, blogs, the Web in general, and by pottering about with sysadmin type stuff. Two main projects have remained in limbo: the One That's Going To Make Me Lots Of Money and a re-vamp of our photo library.

This week I resolved to make a start on something, so I decided to spend some day time, which I normally to work related stuff, on the photo library code as that's much more fun. Yesterday and today I did that and I've finally completed a first version. I can see all the photos we had on there before and I can import new photos. Cool. Still lots to do but at least I'm unblocked.

Which just leaves me with what to write on the blog and, hey, it looks like I've solved that one too.
