I have a calendar which I use in place of the standard Google apps to access my Google Calendar. It's called Sunrise Calendar and they have a Chrome app (so it runs on both my Linux desktop and my Chromebook) and an Android app (phone and tablet, including as a widget). read more ... |

I've got a new phone. Yeah, yeah, so what? You're always getting a new phone. Well, actually it's a good 18 months since I bought the Moto G dual SIM phone as a grey import from India and I've been looking enviously at Beth's 4G Moto E as it's so blisteringly fast and 4G coverage is getting very good now, often better than 3G. read more ... |

I know a lot of people use it but I'm not a great fan of Facebook Messenger. I think part of the reason is that it's imposed upon you: if you use Facebook then, implicitly, you are using Messenger. I can find no way of saying "I don't use Messenger" and people assume you do. So they message you anyway. Sometimes about stuff that matters, and that's a problem. read more ... |
