A GPX track on an Unsuitable Map

»

On Friday, the day before our day with the Gaffers, we sailed Serenity from Shotley Marina to Bradwell. I was skipper so, rather than using Jenny's fancy nav hardware, I used paper charts1 and relied on my Garmin Foretrex 101 wrist mounted GPX for position and bearing. It also records track so here's that track.

The first little bit out of the marina at Shotley is missing as I'd not turned on the GPS but the rest is there. Shame it's not on a more suitable map but you'll be able to guess from the turns where the buoys were where we made changes in course.

  1. Old school!
