We took the train from Waterbeach to Ely today, and then walked back using the east bank of the river (part of the Fen Rivers Way). A distance of about 11 miles. The high point was seeing LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 no 60019 Bittern as it headed north towards Ely and on to Norwich.
Beth took some video which you should be able to watch by clicking on the image above. Other than that it was a good walk, if hard on the feet. We also met a lot of people walking the other way, the MacMillan Cancer people were doing a sponsored walk.
And we finished to day with our first takeaway from Renu's which, I have to say, was rather good.
