New Web Site for Milton

»

We finally launched Milton's new web site about ten days ago. www.milton.org.uk provides all the information which used to be on www.miltonvillage.org.uk, other than the parish council related pages but integrated with the web version of Milton News, an archive of the milton-chat mailing list, the village diary and some other goodies.

I was hoping that we might persuade the parish council to let us do this integration using www.miltonvillage.org.uk but before we could even take a formal proposal to parish council the council re-branded that site as the "Milton Parish Council web site" (it was previously the "Village web site") and moved all their content to the front page which made it very obvious we were wasting our time pursuing that one.

So instead we now have two web sites for Milton: the parish council web site and a community web site. It's not the outcome those of us involved in the new site were hoping for but we are where we are now and we must do the best we can in the circumstances we find ourselves.

And we are.
