Another Walk to Lode

»

Today we walked to Lode by way of Clayhithe and Horningsea and I took some video for a change (that's a clip playing below). We've done this walk before only last time we did it anti-clockwise (i.e. Horningsea to Lode to Clayhithe and back along the Cam tow path). This time we did it clockwise. You can find the route here on Google Maps. It's 10.4 miles and it's a good choice at this time of year as most of it is on roads and farm tracks so there's not too much mud and you can keep your speed up. Our moving average was 2.9mph according to my GPS.

As you can see from the video it was lovely weather considering it's early February with glorious sunshine and very little wind. We set off in light jackets but within a mile we'd shed those and walked the rest of the way in just our shirts.

Anyway I'm bloody knackered now so I'm off to the sofa for a doze. More videos clips online here if you're interested.
